Guess what?
It’s Saturday.
But not merely any ol’ Saturday; it’s Super-secret Super-special Super-duper-surprise Saturday.
Because today’s the day.
Today I’m launching the new thing. The thing I’ve been working on for nearly two years. Almost a million words.
And because you’re here, reading this, and I cherish and value your time, attention, affection, and friendship more than I can convey, I’m sharing it with you first.
Here.
Now.
No big announcements. No countdowns. No timers triggering your FOMO.
Maybe I’ll do that later, who knows?
But for now, I’m only sharing it with you. Because you’ve been here since I began on Substack back in March. It’s taken me this long to get here. And, truthfully, I’m still not entirely ready. See, I wanted to have my current three novels uploaded and completely available in the lounge. To date, only God’s Little Drop of Water is there. Eye Candy is about halfway. The Demon Drivers is still only in weekly serial. Plus I have several other novels I want to upload. These are all already-written, finished works, by the way.
Anyway, the point is that I’ve been stalling. Procrastinating a bit, yes, but it’s only because I don’t even fully understand what this new THING is. They say it’s a good sign when you don’t understand fully what your new book is. That perhaps it’s more inspired or something. I don’t know; I’ve always been a bit dubious of this notion but I think I understand the sentiment.
Regardless, the messaging I’ve been getting regarding this new project is to publish it. Put it out. Upload it. Post it. Share it. To simply get on with it. And everything that is supposed to happen after that will happen. But it can only happen after the publishing.
So here we go.
As Short Round said to Indie in Temple of Doom, “Okay, Dr. Jones, hold on to your potato!”
It’s called Alien Night Club. It’s a transcript. I’ll leave it at that.
Also, new chapters for GLDOW, EC, & TDD, too.
Because, hey, new chapters every Saturday at 9:09 a.m. EST.
First 5 chapters of each book are free. Plus free previews of everything!
So here we go.
Enjoy!
