I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to create unrealistic expectations which will inevitably leave you disappointed.
Whenever someone tells me they LOVED a movie, I’m sometimes disappointed.
Whenever someone tells me they HATED a movie, I usually really like it.
Suffice it to say that while Life came out in March 2017, I only saw it sometime later on Netflix.
It is no longer on Netflix but it is a rental on Amazon Prime Video if that is an option for you. IMO it’s worth the $3.59 USD.

Finally, in order not to leave you angry and crestfallen because I’m recommending a movie you can’t watch, here’s an equal alternative:
Nope.
Yep. That’s the title: Nope.
I watched this a few days ago.
It _IS_ on Netflix.
Carve out some time to watch it uninterrupted, pop some popcorn, take a moment to cherish the Oxford Comma, and enjoy.
And if it isn’t on Netflix in your country, try this:
Do a search for it on Netflix.
If it shows up in white among the titles of similar movies, it means it is available on Netflix outside your country.
You can use a VPN to watch it.
If you don’t have a VPN or have a free one that has pathetic bandwidth, maybe try Proton VPN.
I’ve used it a bunch and it seems to be safe and good. It usually connects me to the Netherlands, where Peter Pan lives. ;) But sometimes I get Japan or USA. (I’ve also used Tunnelbear and the bear is cute but the free version has a thimble-worth of bandwidth, not enough to watch a movie.)
This free version of Proton won’t let you choose your country. But you can MANUALLY disconnect and reconnect and try a few times and see what happens. Like I said, I almost always get a server in Amsterdam. Or you can simply pay for it.
But this is a kind of hack or workaround for Netflix.
Remember: In Life, there’s almost always a workaround.
Except not so much in the movie “Life”. But no spoilers, no spoilers!
PS Should I or should I not change the name of my Substack to Fungasm?
And be sure to follow these fine folk for fortuitous fortune and fun.
This space for lease.
And if you’ve made it this far, let’s have some fun. Type the word “Nope” in the comments below or on the post comments. The subtitle of this post is “Have you seen Life?” It will therefore appear that everyone has not.
It will be a plethora of Nope’s.
And if you understand this reference, I salute you. Just remember to fire up!
Have a great weekend.
Nope.
But I have seen Nope. Good movie.
Agreed.
